Greetings Friends!
To the LifeNet website in North America
Our goals are to support and strengthen the geomancy group of students brought together here in North America by the work of Marko and Ana Pogacnik and their family, and to develop a network of individuals and organizations who share an interest and commitment to being and working with Gaia in all her beautiful dimensions. This new geomancy work is not exclusive to Marko and Ana — many other people and organizations are working to develop a new holistic approach to working with the earth and all her denizens — but their approach and the North American School of Geomancy that they have initiated in America is our starting point.
Marko and Ana have provided us with a cosmogramme for our website and an introductory poem. We live and breathe images, as well as the written and spoken word, song and movement, and we hope that the design and feel of the website reflects the many ways in which we celebrate and communicate.
The first two-year geomancy “class,” sponsored by SteinerBooks, completed its work and study in March 2008. The class culminated its learning and work in a geopuncture project and installation at Foxhollow Farm outside of Louisville, Kentucky. Descriptions of the locations and work undertaken by this first group over the two-year course are described in the newsletters found on the website. Photos of the Foxhollow Farm project are available on the links page. This group has continued to meet, learn and work with Ana or Marko, as well as with each other. This group of graduates met with Ana in Sedona, Arizona in March 2009, and will meet with her again in March 2010 in the greater Miami area of Florida. According to Ana, Sedona is the crown chakra of North America, and the area in Florida is the root chakra.
A second two-year geomancy class, again sponsored by SteinerBooks, began in September of 2008. Marko or Ana led three group seminars with this class in different parts of the country in 2010, and will meet twice more in 2010 before gathering for a second major North American geopuncture project.
Our LifeNet work in North America is also part of a growing worldwide network of individuals and group who share our interest and commitment to working with Gaia. The first international Geomancy Congress was held in Slovenia in July of 2008, described on our workshops page. The second International Life Net Gathering will be held in Germany in July of 2010. Please see Marko and Ana’s 2010 letters for more information.
On our links page you also can be treated to Marko's Welcome Back to the Earth, an excerpt from his recent book Sacred Geography, published in 2008 by Lindisfarne Press. Welcome Back to the Earth describes the thinking and practice that is the basis for a new and holistic geomantic approach to Gaia that he has been developing over the past 30 years. You can also find additional titles and resources on the links page.
Please send our web address to friends, family and colleagues, and contact us with suggestions for the ongoing development of our network and LifeNetHome. Thank you!
On behalf of the geomancy groups, Marko and Ana,
and our beloved Gaia,
Sandy Littell & Leslie Luchonok
